PC not booting. please help

my pc isn't working. i put it on sleep by accident today, and it wouldn't wake up. so i turned it off at the wall and then left it for a few hours. when i came back to it, and tried to turn it on, the fans and lights came on, but nothing else happened. so i hit the reset button it started up, then it turned off and turned on again but it still doesn't work. theres no signal getting to the monitor, the keyboard and mouse aren't coming on, whats up with it? all the fans are running and the mother board light is on.
its a custom built quad core, running windows 7 and its less than a month old.

please help

Re: PC not booting. please help

This sounds like more than hard drive failure here.

Since the keyboard and mouse aren't coming on, it sounds like it could be a motherboard problem. Even if the light is on there could still be problems.

Are you able to boot from any media or get into the BIOS of your motherboard?

Let's not jump right into this. There are numerous other factors to take into account here.
